As we begin to heal ourselves, we begin to heal our Earth

Thank you for visiting my artwork. Painting has been a significant part of my healing journey; allowing me to remember parts of myself I once thought were lost. I have always had a deeper creative calling within, aching to come out in various forms of color, brush strokes, and shape; but it has taken most of my life to truly appreciate the depth and value art provides to the world, a culture, a community, a soul. Art is healing, Art is soothing and beautiful to the eye and soul. Art is inspiring, invoking us to stretch the limits of our perspectives, our reasoning, our understanding. Art is communing with the creative life force itself and seeing what wants to be made.

When I paint, I am usually enchanted with certain colors, shapes, and forms that I find in nature, trees, dreams, and meditations. I sometimes come to the canvas not knowing what wants to be created and then as if on my own creative journey, I discover what wants to come out as I am painting. It is an exhilarating, discerning, beautiful, and often times challenging experience every time. I tend to discover the meaning and depth of each painting only after a piece is completed, and then on each subsequent viewing a new discovery is made. It is my wish that my artwork will also lead to your own personal discoveries.
