The Invitation
As soon as I began offering Sacred Cacao Circles, people began asking me to teach. Something about the Spirit of Cacao and how she opened their hearts excited them and they wanted to begin their own personal relationship with her, but they didn't know where to begin.
Ceremonial Cacao is becoming widely used in the wellness and metaphysical communities to enhance spiritual experiences. While I love to see the heart opening medicine of Cacao helping so many people, I feel deep sadness when I see that she is being used as a product for a desired effect, more than she is being honored, respected, listened to, and understood.
Cultivating a relationship with Cacao is more than drinking a cup to start your day or to have a 'cool' spiritual experience. Cacao is a sacred invitation to explore your heart consciousness, to honor the ancient and living traditions that have cultivated her medicine and bring her to us today, to honor ourselves and the resources of the Earth that are part of her and of us. There are many layers of inner and outer discovery as one begins to cultivate their relationship with Cacao. She is so much more than meets the eye.
I will not pretend to ever be an expert on Cacao, but I will share from my heart the wisdom I have learned from my own deep relationship with her and the traditions & teachings I have learned from my time studying with the Mayan Wisdom Project and traveling to Guatemala learning from the elders. What I offer comes from Cacao herself and I have asked her to show me how to " teach " her medicine to those of you who feel her call.
The Workshop:
2 Week Immersion with Cacao
Week 1:
In a morning workshop, Emily will share the history, origins, spiritual medicine, and methods of Cacao through oral tradition, just as the Mayans do today. There will also be reflective journal prompts throughout the workshop to deepen your relationship to this ancient medicine. While preparing Cacao she will teach and share as you observe and ask questions. Together we will all experience and take in Cacao in sacred space. Emily will then guide you in a shamanic drumming journey meditation to initiate your relationship with the spirit of Cacao.
Following the workshop, Emily will supply you with a full pound of ethically sourced ceremonial Cacao to last for 2+ weeks along with a workbook and traditional jicara cup & molinillio set. You will be invited to explore Cacao in a sacred setting on your own for the next two weeks. There will be a private group chat created to share and post about what you are discovering and experiencing. Emily will be available for any questions that pop up along the way.
Week 2:
After our two week immersion we will come gather again and explore. What are we learning about Cacao? What are we learning about ourselves? What are we learning about the world? This is a powerful opportunity to share and connect with our sacred group.
There will be a few more teachings before we call in sacred space and prepare and drink Cacao together in another Sacred Cacao Circle. We will share and learn from one another about our experiences with her and where she is taking us. We will explore her medicine through creative expression. At the end, Emily will guide you in a final shamanic Journey meditation to explore your heart consciousness and the spirit of Cacao to learn more about her medicine and your own beautiful relationship with her.
By the end of this workshop you will have awakened a profound relationship to your heart and the spirit of Cacao.
Upon completion of this special initiation, you will have a strong foundation in the sacred medicine of Cacao and will know how to properly source, prepare, and cultivate sacred space while honoring the living traditions that share this medicine with us.

Emily is only offering these Cacao Immersion Workshops on a limited basis in small intimate settings.
There is a strong need and call to offer the medicine of Cacao to the world, and these intimate workshops are intended for those with a sincere interest in cultivating and deepening their relationship with themselves, with the world, and with the spirit of Cacao.
